Waving palm trees by the wind blow, the dazzling blue sea, white sandy beaches and various cultural charm hundreds of years old, natural wealth and the friendly and unpretentious people around. That's all you'll get if you visit and tour to the Land of Nias or Tano Niha.

Indonesia is an archipelago country, 5 large islands and thousands of other into one. As an archipelagic country, Indonesia surrounded by seas and many islands with beautiful and charming beaches has visited many local and international tourists. The islands with beautiful beaches which are well known to tourists is the island of Bali, Bangka Island, Lombok Island and many more and Nias Island is one of the best places for surfers around the world.

Playing with the waves, surfing with the surfboard, walked along the white sandy beach or bathed in sunlight is a picture of the beautiful island of Nias, almost forgotten paradise located on the west side of North Sumatra Province, one of the provinces in Indonesia.

You must have known about Hawaii as the best surfing spot. Nias Island as a vacation destination is well known internationally primarily as a place to surf and place of surfing in this area is Sorake or Lagundri Beach in Teluk Dalam which is the second best place after the Hawaii. The great waves and the natural beauty of the island of Nias make foreign surfers to admit it as a paradise on earth and certainly the best choice for your and your family holiday destination in addition to the already famous island of Bali.

Nias island has exceptional charm in addition to the unspoiled natural beauty also has a rich cultural heritage. Cultural relics of the past in the form of megaliths stones in the area Lahusa and Gomo, traditional dance those are Baluse dance (war dance) and Hombo Stone (stone jump).

Stone Jump (Hombo Stone) which is a tourist icon of the island of Nias is one characteristic of people of Nias Island. For those who have visited, if they remember the island of Nias will remember with Stone Jump, the compiled jumping stones to reach a height of two meters with a thickness of 40 centimeters.

For those of you who like surfing and are interested in culture and customs, you certainly will be pleased to visit the island of Nias as summer vacation destinations, honeymoon vacations or vacation with family. Besides cheap you will be satisfied to enjoy the beauty of nature, and culture in other parts of the world.

To visit the island of Nias, you can only use air and sea transportation. If using sea transportation from the city of Medan (Capital of North Sumatra) to Sibolga (another city in North Sumatra), from the port of Angin (Sibolga) use the ferry to the port on the island of Nias (Gunung Sitoli, Teluk Dalam, Lahewa and Tello) for about 10 hours. Sibolga located directly across from the island of Nias and the City of Port connects between Sumatra Island and the island of Nias.

If using air transportation, there are daily flights from Polonia Airport in Medan and landed at the airport Binaka-Gido (Gunung Sitoli, Nias Island) approximately one hour or a weekly flight from Soekarno-Hatta airport in Jakarta (Capital of Indonesia) to Airport Binaka -Gido (Gunung Sitoli, Nias). If you are from overseas, you can go to Jakarta first, then to Nias or from Jakarta to Medan and then to Nias.
